新课标解读下的高中英语语言知识课教法研究

课题开展情况介绍:
我在本学期带领我们学校高中英语教研组一起研究的课题是新课标解读下的高中英语语言知识课教法研究。
语言知识点讲解是英语课堂教学中比较重要但很难把握的一种课型。几乎所有的公开课和示范课都不会讲这种课型,大家都愿意选择课文理解或者听说课型,因为这些课型比较容易组织学生活动,课堂气氛会因为活动多而有热度。有时候语法教学也会出现在示范课里,但从没有过知识点讲解课堂出现在各级各类的优质课中。这种课型到底该怎样上,在这样的课型中到底需要培养学生的什么能力,是一个很有挑战性的很值得探讨的问题。
我对这样的课堂的理解是踏实和实效,在开题的时候,我跟教研组的老师们提出了我的思路,我希望我们的研究有参照性,可操作性强;我不赞成花花哨哨的不必要的活动,而且,我认为我们是要根据我们大多数学校的学生英语学习特点,培养学生们的自学能力。
我于是在紧接着的教研活动中做了安排,先让大家共同探讨这种课型到底需要培养学生们的那些能力,我们到底需要采用什么样的教学活动和教学步骤。大家讨论得非常热烈,我一边悉心倾听一边做笔记。最后大家形成了这样的共识:
一、语言知识课堂中要培养学生们自己查找工具书的能力;
二、语言知识课堂要具备踏实、高效的特点;
三、课堂要精讲多练,课堂环节需要紧凑有序;
四、作为示范课,要可复制性强。
我于是根据我们组成员的组成特点,做了一下安排:
1、全组教师分备课组在下周拿出一个教学方案来;
2、年轻教师要积极做思考,做好上公开课的准备。
在接下来的每周的教研活动中,我们先是就备课组拿出的教学方案做了综合和对比,确定了以培养学生自学能力即查阅工具书的能力为学生能力目标,教学步骤如下:
1、 复习上节课的课文理解。形式可包括:听力、朗读、回答问题、填空考查文中重要信息、预设课堂主要内容;
2、 词汇学习。形式可包括:听写词汇、学生翻译词组、教师词汇讲解、学生使用工具书查找词汇、学生练习巩固;
3、 复杂句理解。形式可包括:学生查阅工具书中的讲解、教师讲解、学生练习巩固;
4、 知识转化。巩固所学知识,培养学生使用所学词汇或句式连词成句、联句成篇。
鉴于我们教研组组员的年龄和具体状况,我分配高一年级的王芳老师和分校高二年级的王建平老师来准备一节研讨课。
十月中旬的教研活动中,我们通过听课和研讨,综合王芳老师和王建平老师的课堂安排和个人特点以及我们教研组对这种课型的理解,决定让王建平老师用王芳老师的课堂模式在西协作区主题教研活动中来上这次公开课。
王芳老师当时的课题设计获得了大家的一致认可,只是王芳老师马上要做妈妈了,就选用了刚毕业一年的年轻教师王建平老师。
王建平老师的特点是爱学习、肯钻研,教学有激情。不足之处在于,他教学经验少,对课文重点的把握以及课堂节奏和整个课堂的把握会有欠缺。但我们相信,在我们的共同探讨和努力下,他会很快掌握一些课堂技巧,提高自己的教学能力。
在接下来的两周时间里,我和王建平开始一起分析教材,解读目标,一起备课,制定课题:高二第六模块第一单元,研究教学重难点和教学流程,制作教学幻灯片。
11月19日下午第一节课,王建平老师在本部田朝霞老师的班里进行了试讲,全体英语组的教师和学校的教导主任、主抓英语的张建新副校长,还有分校的张建敏副校长都跟着听了课。
田朝霞老师这个班的进度较慢,他们还在学习第五模块的第五单元。为了配合今天下午的试讲,田老师只是在下午上课前带领学生们预习了词汇,上课前学生们预习了课文。
所以,在试讲一开始,学生们因为对老师和教学内容的不熟悉而出现了短时的不适应和冷场,但很快学生们就适应了查阅工具书来寻找词汇解释,课堂气氛逐渐活跃,但还是因为对教学内容和词汇的陌生以及课堂内容设置过大而在教学最后一个环节上预留的时间不足。但还是圆满完成了教学任务。
听完课后,大家一起进行了研讨,肯定了教学流程的设计,但指出课堂容量过大,需要掌握但简单易懂的语言点应删去不讲,但在最后一个环节,也就是06年北京高考开放写作的选用上意见不一,有的老师认为难度较大,怕届时无法完成教学任务,有的认为这本身就是语言输出的最佳体现,应该保留。最后,我跟王建平商量决定,采纳大家的意见,修改课件和教学容量,删掉虽需掌握但易懂的词汇faith和consequentely, by coinsidence,保留06年北京高考的开放写作题,让学生们用所学的词汇表达意见,连词成句,联句成篇,完成写作。 然后我们一起重新修正课件,增删内容,寻找合适的练习。
11月20日上午,王建平老师在王亚杰老师的班里又讲了一遍。王亚杰老师班级的情况跟田朝霞老师的班级情况是一样的,学生们都还没有开始学习这篇文章,只是在课前预习了单词和课文。
修改后的课堂有了很大进步,但是仍然存在一些问题,比如教师英语表达不流畅、不够贴近学生、教师提出的问题随意性大等问题。教研组的高兴辉老师、郭玉章老师、昝亚娟老师都积极提意见,想思路,表现出了积极的合作精神。
11月23日,在我们学校的多媒体报告厅,王建平老师代表我们教研组向西协作区的英语教师们做了一节公开课,向他们展示了我们对语言知识讲解课型的理解和做法。在这次我们教研组主持的语言知识讲解课型中,我们向协作区的英语同行们展示的我们的理念是:
一、 保持课堂的纯洁性和实效性,从学生们英语基础较差的实际情况出发,以让学生学会为教学重点,不弄花架子。
二、 英语课堂也要和语文课堂一样,要让学生们朗读,(我们现在很多的英语课堂淡化了英语朗读,这是对语言学习方式的一种误解和删节,我们重申和呼吁大家关注学生朗读),要让学生们学会惯于使用工具书,词典和教辅均可,但学生们得自己知道在自学时从何处求助。
三、 授课教师要做到:不因赶教学进度而不顾学生们的接受能力,教师要学会察言观色,教学速度和节奏要取决于学生们的接受能力。
这节课受到了与会教师们和市教研员黄立军老师的一致好评,大家积极肯定了我们提倡的朗读和让学生利用工具书来学习的做法,但也提出了一些意见和建议。
成功经验:
在本学期的课题研究过程中,我感受最深的还是我们教研组所有组员们的团结合作精神,是团结的力量使得我们的课题研究可以有阶段性的成果。田朝霞老师、昝亚娟老师、高星辉老师、郭玉章老师、王芳老师等等,每一位老师都积极地献计献策,通力配合,充分展示了我们教研组团结合作的和谐氛围,让作为教研组长的我和王建平都非常感动。我们现在的教研成果是我们英语组共同劳动的结晶,希望我们在实施过程中,通告检验和反思,共同探讨语言知识讲解课型的最佳授课模式。
存在问题:
一、我们虽然在本阶段的课题研究中取得了阶段性的成果,但是,我们也知道,课无定法,可以利用的教学手段也一定多种多样,一节课的成功其实有很多因素,其中,教师的因素占据了很大比例。教师本人的业务素质、教师的课题驾驭能力和宏观调控能力等等,需要教师对自己岗位的热爱和经验才能获得。
二、虽然我们提出了在英语课堂上倡导朗读,我们也坚信朗读能够让学生更加关注所学知识,更易获得英语语感,但是,朗读的实效性却无法衡量和检测,一是教学时间的有限,限制教师无法在课堂中充分推进朗读;二是教师本人对朗读的忽略也会让这个英语教学过程中应该必不可少的教学步骤无法得以推进。
三、对于我们提出的让学生们使用工具书的做法,与会教师们都表示了肯定。但是,大家也在问,到底什么样的工具书对学生们来说是有帮助的?朗文词典太贵,无法做到人手一册;教辅书功能有限,无法查阅到所有内容。
今后打算:
我们打算在下学期,教研组里的每位教师都讲一节自己理解的语言知识课,集中所长,能够给出更多的教学课例。

Teaching Analysis:
This is the second taching period of this unit. The tacher can first offer chances for students to review what they have learned during the first period.Then lead in the new lesson.
The emphasis of this period will be placed on the important words,expressions and setence patterns in reading passage. In order to make students understand these points, we can first get students to find those words and phrases in their dictionary or refference books,then offer some exercises to make students master their usage and give some explanations about them.
At the end of the class, the teacher can make students do more exercises and even organize a short passage for consolidation. In doing so, they can learn, grasp and use these important language points well.

1. Let students read the text and pay attention to some useful words and expressions especially the black ones.
2. From text to test: Finish a short passage by filling in the blanks according to the understanding of the reading passage.

First let students try to understand the meaning of those sentences by thenselves. Then lead then to find some useful sentences patterns and useful structures. At last, do some exercises to consolidate the useful language points they have learned from the sentences.
